Hi and welcome again to Ida’s library! I’m Ida – or Jasmine if we’re going on a first name basis. Rather than delving into a deep or thought invoking or more likely a ramble of a blog I thought I would introduce myself and tell you a bit about me. 

My name is Jasmine Ida. Ida is my middle name but I use it as I love what it stands for and represents to me. I am 21 years old and I’m currently completing my masters degree in writing all the way up in Scotland with my kitten, Frankenstein (or Frankie), who you may have seen on my page. His name is exactly what you’re thinking, the classic is one of my favourite books.

While completing this degree I’m working hard towards hopefully getting to complete a PhD, along with my biggest and long time goal I’m sure most of us have in this community, completing my first novel – which in time you will hear more about ;). I started this website, and my social media pages to stretch out. I want to build a community and a home for the like minded and book lovers AND to get my reviewing skills in shape. This is both so I can share my thoughts with other people, maybe even convince some of you to read some of my books – rather than phoning my dad up late at night to describe an entire book plot and my thoughts – and to develop a useful skill to help when writing my own work. I’ll be reviewing just about anything that catches my eye or anything any of you may recommend to me!

More towards my book taste side of things. Not to be that person, but I am, I like a bit of everything. I will try a bit of everything. My bookshelves are littered with classics, horrors, thrillers, fantasy – even romantic fantasy or smut as they say. For the most part I do judge a book by its cover, if it looks cool I’ll be buying it. And I am heavily influenced by social media, if booklover268 tells me i will love this book then they must be right. 

This is my first time blogging, and alongside my studies and novel-in-progress, I’ll do my best to update you all weekly—maybe even more often if I feel the urge to share. And if I’m doing it all wrong…let me enjoy my blissful, babbling ignorance!. 

In the same spirit of this being my first blog, if i’m doing it wrong.. don’t tell me. Let me live in happy ignorant blog babbling bliss.
